Speed up the shutdown

Filed under: computer knowledge — admin @ 5:40 pm

Windows XP boot speed is much faster than the previous version of the operating system, but the shutdown speed is slow. If you shut down the speed, you can modify some registry keys, can greatly reduce the time required for closing Windows. First open the registry editor, find the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\, which has a key called HungAppTimeout, its default value is 5000 (if not, change it to 5000). Next, there is a WaitToKillAppTimeout key to change its value to 4000 (default is 2000). Finally, locate the registry as follows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\. Similarly, the WaitToKillServiceTimeout value of which is 4000. In addition, the “control panel / management tools / services” in the NVidia Driver Help service is set to manual, you can speed up the Windows off time.
